Smadar Sheffi<\/b> is an\u00a0art critic<\/a>, researcher of art and culture, and a curator of contemporary art.[<\/span>1]<\/span><\/a><\/sup>\u00a0She founded the Contemporary Art Center, Ramle \u2013 CACR (2019 – 2024) and was the Chief\u00a0Curator<\/a>. <\/sup>Sheffi’s bilingual blog of art criticism and notes on contemporary culture, The Window, has been active since 2012.\u00a0<\/sup><\/p>

Her upcoming exhbition at the JCC Manhatten A Taste of Belonging – <\/strong>On Food, Identity, and Place in Contemporary Israeli Art\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>is schduled to open 15 September 2026\u00a0 feturing works by ten\u00a0 artists including Zoya Cherkassky-Nnadi, Shahar Marcus, Eliahou Eric Bokobza\u00a0 and Vera Vladimirsky.\u00a0<\/p>

The Returning Voice\u00a0<\/strong>The exhbition she is curating\u00a0 in the 2026 Jerusalem biannual in the the U. Nahon Museum of Italian Jewish Art recived the OUTSET grant for 2026 and the ART NOW\u00a0 grant for 2026.<\/span><\/p>
